The Right Tuition Company provide premium supplementary education that is accessible to an ever-widening demographic. RTC is driven by a passion for helping children reach their full potential, both academically and personally, and we do not discriminate on the basis of ability. Our outstanding team of education specialists, combined with our small group learning model, means that we can reach beyond the boundaries of traditional education and nurture the academic progress of each individual child.
RTC pupils are encouraged to be independent thinkers, active learners, and happy, confident, and resilient children. The shaping of these characteristics allows RTC children to approach academic challenges, including exam preparation, with fortitude and focus.
On average, RTC pupils sitting the Kent 11 plus exam achieve a 90% pass rate or more.
13% of our current pupils receive their RTC lessons absolutely free of charge, through a number of charitable partnerships and initiatives.

We are very selective about who teaches your child at RTC. Over the years, we have taken on the amazing professionalism of some of Kent’s most brilliant teachers, covering a range of core subjects.
Embarking on the journey of private education in the UK often brings with it a myriad of queries, particularly as new programmes and financial structures are introduced. To aid you in this process, we have gathered a comprehensive list of question and answers.
Yes, we do. We are Ofsted registered, which means that we can accept childcare vouchers. We also operate a number of RTC scholarship schemes to help some of the most disadvantaged children in our communities.
Costs can vary depending on how many classes your child attends each week. We offer a free introductory class to every child. We also offer a free academic assessment to all new Year 4 and Year 5 children and will make recommendations based on the outcome of a child’s assessment.
The maximum number of children we allow per class is nine. This class number cap will ensure that high levels of individual attention is maintained, and that children can still form strong social bonds with the other children in the class.
Our lessons follow Kent’s core curriculum topics and are designed to reinforce the learning that the children are doing in their mainstream schools. For Year 5 students, we add Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning which is a Kent Test requirement but offers an additional learning opportunity for all Year 5 students, even those who do not wish to sit the 11+ exam. Our focus in Year 7 to Year 11 is Maths, English and Science.
There is no sign-up fee and no cancellation fee. We do operate a strict absence policy which requires 24 hours’ notice of absence. We will offer alternative lessons within the same week, when possible.
