Outstanding support for 11+ preparation.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional support my son received from RTC Tonbridge during his 11+ preparation. The entire team has been instrumental in helping him achieve an excellent result.

The communication from Maria, his tutor and Ilse, Front of House Manager, was nothing short of excellent. Each week, my son knew exactly what he needed to do and how he could improve. This clear and transparent communication not only eased the process for us but also empowered my son to take charge of his own learning.

The lessons were thoughtfully paced, ensuring that the material was covered comprehensively without being overwhelming. The approachability of the entire team made a significant difference. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were always ready to provide support and guidance. We were also greeted with a friendly welcome every week by Ilse, who really got to know each and every child. This helped avoid any shyness or apprehension about going to classes.

The feedback from the mock exam was extremely useful and well thought through. Having the one to one conversation with the tutor, who really knew my child, was invaluable for his progression, but also enabled me to further support him at home.

My son started tutoring with RTC in year 4 of primary school, finally finishing his time with them in the Summer holidays following year 5. During that time we have felt fully supported, with there being a focus on my son as a whole person rather than just ‘getting him through’ his 11+. We were offered sound advice which I appreciated, a kind ear from the lovely Ilse and a confidence boost from everyone he encountered. I came across RTC whilst searching online for centres offering 11+ mock exams but I was quite impressed with their organization and feedback given. We decided to trial the 11+ prep classes initially at Tonbridge and finally at the Turnbridge Wells Centre and I have to say that they are well structured and very people friendly. Ilse and Jinky really go out of their way to provide an accommodating, warm and friendly setting.
My son had Lesley as his tutor for most of his time and whilst she was fun to work with, she made clear her expectations and I really did look forward to reading her weekly summaries on how the lessons went.
The half term programs and mock exams were really good and provided my son with the appropriate levels of challenge he needed.

I’ve been really impressed with the RTC Tunbridge wells. My daughter had Jo as her tutor for the past year who was great and really helped to prepare her for the 11+ test. They’re really organised, lessons are well structured and detailed information is emailed after each lesson to say what’s been covered and offering guidance for the homework. The RTC team has provided invaluable support for my daughter, and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism, kindness and expertise as they helped her navigate her way through the demanding process of preparing for the 11+ this year. Jo has nurtured and developed her understanding of all subject areas and consistently provided comprehensive and detailed feedback throughout the year. Tony made the summer fly by with his wit, enthusiasm and knowledge. Stephanie, Jinky and Ilse have been unfailingly kind, efficient and supportive, not to mention a great deal of fun. As a result of this, my daughter walked into her exam yesterday feeling calm and well-prepared, safe in the knowledge that she was armed with the skills she needed to achieve her full potential.
