During that time we have felt fully supported, with there being a focus on my son as a whole person rather than just ‘getting him through’ his 11+. Ikenna Nze2023-09-26I came across RTC whilst searching online for centres offering 11+ mock exams but I was quite impressed with their organization and feedback given. We decided to trial the 11+ prep classes initially at Tonbridge and finally at the Turnbridge Wells Centre and I have to say that they are well structured and very people friendly. Ilse and Jinky really go out of their way to provide an accommodating, warm and friendly setting. My son had Lesley as his tutor for most of his time and whilst she was fun to work with, she made clear her expectations and I really did look forward to reading her weekly summaries on how the lessons went. The half term programs and mock exams were really good and provided my son with the appropriate levels of challenge he needed. I can't recommend the centre highly enough to any prospective parent!
Lisa Fossey2023-09-08I’ve been really impressed with the RTC Tunbridge wells. My daughter had Jo as her tutor for the past year who was great and really helped to prepare her for the 11+ test. They’re really organised, lessons are well structured and detailed information is emailed after each lesson to say what’s been covered and offering guidance for the homework. The office staff are lovely too, offering flexibility if you need to swap a session. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for 11+ tutoring!

Centre Director, 11+ & KS2 Teacher, Maidstone
Lucie obtained a Business qualification in 2010 from the University of Deusto (Bilbao Spain), followed by a Cambridge CELTA certification soon after. Lucie’s time living abroad included working as both an Early Years specialist at Iparragirre Ikastola Primary School and an Advanced ESOL Teacher at Eidal Idiomas, Bilbao. Lucie is also qualified to teach the “Jolly Phonics” course, which allows children to learn English using the Synthetic Phonic system and adapt their tongue to the English sounds at a very young age.
Lucie returned to the UK in 2015 to start her young family whilst working as a part-time ESOL and Spanish Teacher at Kent Adult Education in Maidstone. More recently, Lucie’s intimate knowledge of the Maidstone education landscape has been deployed to serve her local community as a highly successful and sought-after 11 plus teacher, working in groups at a local Academy and as a private 1:1 tutor.
RTC is delighted to introduce Lucie as Director of our brand new Centre in Maidstone which is due to launch in September 2022. Spearheading this exciting project is a natural fit for Lucie.

Secondary Level Maths Teacher
I'm Sarah, a Maths KS3 and GCSE tutor at Right Tuition’s Maidstone tuition centre. I have been teaching since 2012 but joined The Right Tuition Company in 2023. I have a first class degree in Economics, which I teach up to KS5. I enjoy teaching Maths mainly because of the joy students experience when they work hard to understand a tricky concept and I am able to explain it in a way that makes it simple for them to master the topic. I am also a GCSE Maths examiner which gives me insight into the minds of thousands of students, in turn making me a better teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy singing gospel music and days out with my husband and three children. I also love to go to the theatre; the cheesy musicals are the best! Read More
Secondary Level English Teacher
Machelle has taught KS3 and GCSE-level English in several international settings for over 20 years. She holds an Honours English Degree from Ball State University in Indiana, USA and completed her PGCE (with Honours) at Manchester Metropolitan University. Machelle spends most of her RTC teaching time at the Maidstone Centre. In addition to being an English teacher, Machelle is also a certified yoga teacher! I joined the Right Tuition two years ago, teaching Years 4 & 5. I also teach in primary schools and tutor privately, thus keeping my knowledge and practice up-to-date. I came to teaching as a mature student, after short careers in nursing and credit control, then raising four children. I have found working with children most rewarding and believe this is my true vocation. I received my BA(Hons) Ed at Goldsmiths University in 2002 and have been teaching at various schools in classes from infants to juniors and even a few secondary positions over the last 22 years. KS2 & 11+ Specialist
Matthew, fondly known to his students simply as Matt, is an experienced primary school teacher, having taught in Birmingham, Kent and Medway. Matt gained his teaching degree at Birmingham University and undertook a 2-year Postgraduate Certificate at Canterbury Christ Church University, to gain Maths Specialist Teacher status. Maths is, unsurprisingly, one of Matt’s favourite subject to teach Year 3 to Year 6 children. Subject Leader projects in previous full-time teaching roles, means that Matt brings a major bank of knowledge to his primary level RTC lessons.
