Since 2014, RTC Tunbridge Wells has become an award-winning tutoring company that has established a strong reputation for being the leading, local provider of high-quality, premium tuition to children aged between 5 and 18. We promote an interactive, non-computer-based approach to small group learning, where the success of our education offering is rooted in our expertise and professional all-round supplementary learning service.

Whether it is our highly sought-after 11+ preparation classes; our weekly Primary-level small group Maths and English sessions, our Secondary-level support classes in Maths, English and Science; or our holiday 11+ and GCSE revision courses; we have built a team of experienced professionals, whose passion, industry-sector knowledge and subject specialism allows children to tap into their true academic potential.

Tailored Education Excellence: Small Group Classes for Personalized Learning

Our weekly small group classes are an hour long, they never exceed nine pupils in a single class and the lesson topics are directly aligned with the demands of the national curriculum. Our education service goes beyond merely delivering inspirational classes. Accompanying features include the offering of regular parent consultations, direct feedback post class, both formal and informal academic assessments, 11+ Mock Assessments, the detailed marking of work, the provision of our Primary-level exclusive learning materials, as well as broader levels of mentorship. Our model of education seeks to personalise education, as we strive to tailor our support to the needs of each and every individual.

Classes

We provide students with a solid foundation in Maths and English, and prepare students for the 11+ for a range of schools, including independent, state-selective and grammar schools.

Assessments

Transitioning from Year 4 to Year 5 is a significant milestone in a student's academic journey and, as such, the dates and locations for the Year 4 into Year 5 Assessments are crucial pieces of information.

Revision

During some of the school holidays, we will be extending the opportunity for children (both RTC and external pupils) to attend some 11+ revision sessions. These classes will look to balance some rigorous revision of topics with some additional focus on specific exam techniques.

Fees & Payments

Contact our staff for current prices and discounts. Prices include a new RTC bookbag, induction pack, and ongoing feedback. Supplies like pencils, erasers, rulers, and exercise books are provided.

Frequently asked questions

Embarking on the journey of private education in the UK often brings with it a myriad of queries, particularly as new programmes and financial structures are introduced. To aid you in this process, we have gathered a comprehensive list of question and answers.

Yes, we do. We are Ofsted registered, which means that we can accept childcare vouchers. We also operate a number of RTC scholarship schemes to help some of the most disadvantaged children in our communities.

Costs can vary depending on how many classes your child attends each week. We offer a free introductory class to every child. We also offer a free academic assessment to all new Year 4 and Year 5 children and will make recommendations based on the outcome of a child’s assessment.

The maximum number of children we allow per class is nine. This class number cap will ensure that high levels of individual attention is maintained, and that children can still form strong social bonds with the other children in the class.

We cover the core subjects taught to children from Year 1 through to Year 11.

Our lessons follow Kent’s core curriculum topics and are designed to reinforce the learning that the children are doing in their mainstream schools. For Year 5 students, we add Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning which is a Kent Test requirement but offers an additional learning opportunity for all Year 5 students, even those who do not wish to sit the 11+ exam. Our focus in Year 7 to Year 11 is Maths, English and Science.

There is no sign-up fee and no cancellation fee. We do operate a strict absence policy which requires 24 hours’ notice of absence. We will offer alternative lessons within the same week, when possible.

The Right Tuition Company follows nationally accepted protocols for the safeguarding of the children in its care. You can view our Child Safeguarding Policy here. We believe that personal wellbeing and academic progress go hand-in-hand at RTC.

We have Right Tuition centres in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Maidstone and Rochester.
