We have built a team of engaging and experienced education experts, each of whom stand ready to assist and bolster the academic performance of Primary and Secondary-aged children in the local Maidstone area.  RTC Maidstone was launched in September 2022 and has since established itself as the go-to tuition centre for local children aged between five and sixteen.

We promote a traditional philosophy on education, which is based around the small-group model of learning. The success of our education offering is rooted in the provision of rigorous, expert-led teaching and an all-round education service. All of this is made accessible to families… at an affordable cost!

RTC Maidstone is focused in helping local pupils with the following:

  • Weekly support in Maths, English and Science – from Year 1 to Year 11
  • Expert 11+ preparation classes
  • Holiday revision classes for the 11+ and GCSE
  • Practice Papers and Mock 11+ Exams
  • Exciting workshops
  • All-round, education-related advice and support

Our experienced professionals, whose passion, industry-sector knowledge and subject specialism, allows children to discover a sense of fun through learning. This, along with our bespoke programmes of study and exclusive Primary learning materials, is the essential precedent by which we enable children to tap into their full potential and flourish!

RTC, via our Maidstone tuition centre, is delighted to have forged a new community-based partnership with Dartford Grammar School.  Together we offer 11+ support classes to local children where they also benefit from an introduction to Dartford Grammar School’s many extra-curricular activities such as gardening, debating and learning Japanese! This newest community project is about unleashing opportunity, through targeted education support.

In 2024/2025 twenty children will benefit from RTC’s premium tuition offer.

Tailored Education Excellence: Small Group Classes for Personalised Learning

Our weekly small group sessions last for one hour each and never exceed eight pupils per class.  The lesson topics are directly aligned with the demands of the national curriculum; yet, our tutoring service goes beyond merely delivering inspirational classes. We also provide regular lesson feedback and, moreover, welcome unlimited individual progress conversations because we know how important constructive feedback is to students and their parents.

We cover all exam boards: AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR and WJEC.  Both formal and informal academic assessments are available throughout the academic year, including our very popular Winter, Spring and Summer 11+ Mock Assessments.

Teachers will mark homework in a timely and constructive manner, in addition to your child receiving the benefit of our expertly prepared learning materials.

Frequently asked questions

Embarking on the journey of private education in the UK often brings with it a myriad of queries, particularly as new programmes and financial structures are introduced. To aid you in this process, we have gathered a comprehensive list of question and answers.

Yes, we do. We are Ofsted registered, which means that we can accept childcare vouchers. We also operate a number of RTC scholarship schemes to help some of the most disadvantaged children in our communities.

Costs can vary depending on how many classes your child attends each week. We offer a free introductory class to every child. We also offer a free academic assessment to all new Year 4 and Year 5 children and will make recommendations based on the outcome of a child’s assessment.

The maximum number of children we allow per class is nine. This class number cap will ensure that high levels of individual attention is maintained, and that children can still form strong social bonds with the other children in the class.

We cover the core subjects taught to children from Year 1 through to Year 11.

Our lessons follow Kent’s core curriculum topics and are designed to reinforce the learning that the children are doing in their mainstream schools. For Year 5 students, we add Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning which is a Kent Test requirement but offers an additional learning opportunity for all Year 5 students, even those who do not wish to sit the 11+ exam. Our focus in Year 7 to Year 11 is Maths, English and Science.

There is no sign-up fee and no cancellation fee. We do operate a strict absence policy which requires 24 hours’ notice of absence. We will offer alternative lessons within the same week, when possible.

The Right Tuition Company follows nationally accepted protocols for the safeguarding of the children in its care. You can view our Child Safeguarding Policy here. We believe that personal wellbeing and academic progress go hand-in-hand at RTC.

We have Right Tuition centres in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Maidstone and Rochester.
